Muscle Pain Relief And Exercise

Getting Muscle Pain Relief With Exercise

Muscle pains occur when muscles are subject to sudden stretches so in order to prevent muscle pains, take some steps to warm up muscles. It beats having to look for muscle pain relief after getting the aches and pains.

Stretch before bed. Calves are often susceptible to night time cramping. Before retiring for the night, take a few minutes to stretch the calve muscles.

Here's what to do: stretch them out with the "runner's stretch". Face a wall and stand 2 -3 feet away from it.

Keep your legs straight and heels flat on the floor and put your palms on the wall at the shoulder level.

Slowly bend your elbows and lean toward the wall until you feel your calves stretch. Hold for a count of 8 and return to the original position.

Be sure you get enough calcium.
A lack of calcium often gives night time cramps. Eating calcium-rich foods such as broccoli, spinach and low fat dairy products help prevent muscle cramps.

Lighten the load.
Heavy blankets can sometimes cause legs and feet to get cramps. Try using a light weight blanket or down comforter instead.

Massage the muscle.
A simple way to prevent muscle cramps is to massage the muscle with long strokes toward the heart before turning off the light.

As you can see, there are ways of keeping muscle cramps, pains and aches at bay. By following some simple steps in your everyday living, you can avoid the hassel of seeking muscle pain relief treatment.
